During that time, we have sold our home in Cornelius, bought a home with acreage in North Plains, sold our condo on the coast, and bought two rental homes in Newberg. One of the scariest things I've ever done is purchase property...even scarier when I sold property...at first blush it seemed simple...but I quickly realized I needed an interpreter that I could trust to have my best interest, who acted with integrity and honesty at all times, who got to know me the person in a way that quickly elevated to an advisor and friend versus agent. That person is and still is Cindy Scott. Her knowledge of real estate and making the process easy, seamless and stress free makes her the ideal person to seek out when buying or selling property. Her attention to service (things you would not even think of) and details saved the day and saved me time. I now live in a different state but when in the market again, I will still consult Cindy to guide me through the process even with another agent. I first met Cindy about 4 years ago after moving to Oregon from out of state and was in the market for a new home. At the time she was a listing agent and was working as an onsite representative in a new neighborhood in Hillsboro. Not only was she professional but she was exceptionally fun and energetic person to work with. She was involved in all aspects from showing us the home, setting up all the inspections, worked with onsite builders representative to insure everything in the house was in working order, she also recommended a mortgage broker who was just as pleasant to work with. This was extremely helpful and made the whole process less stressful. After purchasing the house and moving in she was still on site as only 3 of the 15 houses were sold, and stopped by and brought a house warming gift and a very nice compiled information booklet about the area and local schools and utilities.
As we got settled in I would notice she was very dedicated to her profession, she was on site working day, night and week-ends, until all the homes were sold. During this time my wife and I became to know her on a more personal level, and not only made a great friend but also had her recently sell the home just a few months ago. Again she exuberated the same work ethic and made the whole process go like clock work and had our house marketed and sold in 4 month in this hard economic state.
I would highly recommend Cindy to anyone who is looking for an agent for all there real estate needs. I recently bought a house and Cindy Scott was my realtor. I want to tell you I was really impressed with Cindy and her work. I can't praise her enough. When I started looking I wasn't even sure where I wanted to live, or what type of house I liked. Cindy was so patient. She was well prepared, available when I needed her, and always willing to come out.
She got to know what I liked and at one point when I couldn't find a suitable house and was thinking of going into a condo, she was up front and told me I wouldn't be as happy there. She was right. We kept looking and finally found a beautiful house in a school district I liked.
Cindy has integrity, she puts her clients first. I appreciate that she didn't push for a quick sale in a place I wouldn't have liked. Cindy was always professional. Your advice regarding the preparation of the property for showing was invaluable. The attributes of the home were much easier to appreciate due to your suggestions on how to rearrange furniture in the rooms. You clearly had the right approach on presentation since just a few days after the first shwoing we got an offer!! Also, most helpful was your willingness to accommodate my schedule so we could meet to get papers signed and resolve any issues. Your advice during negotiating a price ad responding to the buyer's requests was helpful making the path to closing a smooth one. And, thanks so much for your efforts in trying to find a home for Sophie the Forest Dog. Best of luck, though I doubt you will need it, for the remainder of the 'real estate season'. Should I have the opportunity to recommend you to someone planning on selling their home, I will enthusiastically do so.
